Applications are invited for public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic, a Fully Funded Government Scholarships for Developing Countries.

Government Scholarships for Developing Countries for studies at Czech, public universities and institutions are essential in the Czech Republic’s foreign development cooperation and have a long tradition. From the 1950s to the now, over 20,000 international students have accomplished their studies at Czech universities with a scholarship from the Czech Republic government.

Government scholarships in the Czech are governed by a Resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic.

Benefits:

The scholarship covers the indispensable charges related to staying and studying in the Czech Republic. The scholarship value is regularly amended. Currently, the amount paid to beneficiaries on a follow-up Master’s study program stands at CZK 14,000 per month, whereas the amount paid to students of a Doctoral program stands at CZK 15,000 per month.

Eligible Countries:

2021/2022 Scholarships are offered to the citizens of the countries:

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Ethiopia
  • Georgia
  • Cambodia
  • Moldova
  • Ukraine
  • Zambia

Government Scholarships for Developing Countries are dedicated entirely to promote the studies of foreign nationals from developing third countries. Neither a citizen of the Czech Republic, nor a citizen of the European Union, nor any different foreign national with a permanent residence permit in the Czech Republic may apply for a scholarship.

Study Programmes:

The Czech Republic offers Government Scholarships for Developing Countries for the following studies:

  • Pursued in the Czech language:
  • Follow-up Master’s study programs (two-to three-year-long programs)
  • – Language and preparatory studies (Only for applicants who want to study in the Czech language) provided by Charles University Institute.
  • Pursued in the English language:
  • – Selected Master’s degree programs.
  • – Programs of Doctoral study.

Application Submission and Deadline:

Each applicant has to fill in a digital application form at http://registr.dzs.cz/registr.nsf before the 30 September of the year before the given academic year.
